Museum Participates in St. Louis Veterans Festival at Forest Park

The Greater St. Louis Air & Space Museum joined with the St. Louis community in paying tribute to veterans of the armed services at the Veterans Festival held in nearby Forest Park in St. Louis.  The museum brought in its BD-5 painted to represent the 126th Air Refueling Wing, based at Scott AFB in Mascoutah, IL.  Hundreds of visitors stopped by the museum’s display and all were invited to the upcoming Open House and Fly-In sponsored by the museum and EAA Chapter 64 on October 6.  Other participants included an IL Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook helicopter, EAA Chapter 32 from St. Charles, MO, Operation Homefront, and many others.  Be sure to visit the museum’s display at the Scott AFB Airpower Over the Midwest airshow, September 15-16.
